What’s New in v4.2
The new version of Serna Free XML Editor brings the following enhancements:
- Added integration with Antenna House XSL Formatter for high quality PDF publishing.
- Added the ability to specify multiple search paths for plugins.
- A number of stability issues have been fixed.

Syntext Released Open Source ‘Serna Free’ WYSIWYG XML Editor

Syntext, Inc. has released Serna Free XML editor as Open Source Software. Serna is an easy-to-use WYSIWYG XML editor for all major platforms, Microsoft Windows (2000, XP, Vista), Linux, Mac OS X, and Sun Solaris/SPARC. Serna is Python extensible and based on the open standards XSLT and XSL-FO.

“Serna was based on open source technologies from the beginning. We now contribute to the Open Source Software community that enabled our success,” says Paul Antonov, Syntext CEO. “Serna Free has enormous potential for XML application development and we have ambitious plans of how to enrich it with improvements. We are open to any ideas concerning development, business, and partnership to fulfil our plans.”

Syntext to Release Open Source ‘Serna Free’ WYSIWYG XML Editor Soon

Serna is a powerful and easy-to-use WYSIWYG XML editor based on open standards and running on all major platforms such as Microsoft Windows (2000, XP, Vista), Linux, Mac OS X, and Sun Solaris/SPARC.
