The high-performance and power-efficient active RFID tag is designed for collecting real-time data with high accuracy for identification, tracking and tracing, and localization. The tag with 8000bytes expandable memory can be used as an electronic packing slip or an electronic shop traveler. Operating in the UHF range, the active tag achieves low power consumption, long-range communication and high-data-rate transmission with minimal interference.

GAO RFID Inc.’s UHF active RFID tag, model 137004, conveys data via progressive UHF radio frequency technology at distances of up to 100 feet to/from a handheld interrogator or up to 300 feet to/from a fixed interrogator. Its capability of Non-line-of-sight data transmission allows the tag to communicate with interrogator even when it is buried, which improves tracking/locating efficiency. Its outstanding anti-collision multi-tag-handling algorithm ensures correct and efficient communication in the presence of a large number of tags. The tag is optionally equipped with a sensor enabling temperature monitoring. It measures and logs the temperature of goods at predefined intervals. The tag can further include an optional LED to provide visual identification.
