The mild climate means that there are plenty of sunny days, which are wonderful for walking, cycling and exploring the area. There are less tourists, of course so everyone has more time to spend with visitors. The atmosphere in the shops and restaurants is very relaxed and welcoming. Here at Duas Quintas, we find winter is a very special season. We discover new birds in the garden migrating from colder climates. The oranges begin to ripen, bringing colour and wonderful smells.’
